“It’s exciting to be invited back to UNC to talk about a transition from academia into the healthcare industry. Many of these bright scholars may not be able to find well-funded, research laboratories within academic institutions,” says Ms. Whitsell. “For them, looking at industry jobs where they can have an impact on pharmaceutical and medical device testing and approval allows them to integrate their scientific interests into an industry career.”
