Chapel Hill, NC – November 2022 – Whitsell Innovations, Inc. Writer Elise Eller Inducted as 2022-2023 President of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
Whitsell Innovations, (WI), Inc., is pleased to announce that Elise Eller, PhD, Senior Medical Writer and Consultant, was inducted as the 2022-2023 President of AMWA at the 2022 AMWA Medical Writing & Communication Conference held in Denver, Colorado.
Elise has been an AMWA member since 2009 and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter. Within her chapter, she organized 2 chapter conferences and then served as chapter president. At the national level, Elise served on several committees, including chairing the Annual Conference Program Committee in 2020. She has been on the AMWA Board of Directors since 2017. Elise also has led open sessions at AMWA’s Medical Writing & Communication Conferences and has written for AMWA Journal. In 2019, Elise was awarded an AMWA Fellowship.
“I am humbled and honored to follow in the footsteps of so many other AMWA presidents before me, people I have worked with and admire. I look forward to working with AMWA volunteers and staff and seeing what we accomplish,” says Elise.
The American Medical Writers Association supports those in the medical communications field. It provides opportunities to expand writers’ professional network, offer access to medical writing resources and publications, and host professional development workshops and seminars, including the annual conference.
