Ayana Moore joined Whitsell Innovations (WI) in 2025, bringing nearly 20 years of experience managing global clinical trials and regulatory compliance. She has worked in all phases of clinical research development including oral, injectable, and microbicide therapeutic trials, pharmacokinetic studies, observational and prevalence studies, and behavioral interventions, with studies ranging from 30 to 40,000 participants. Dr. Moore manages a team of writers in addition to supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in clinical and regulatory communications. Her areas of expertise include HIV prevention, sexually transmitted infections, and infectious diseases.

Prior to joining WI, Dr. Moore was the Director of Clinical Research Operations for an HIV prevention research network where she managed cross-functional teams, oversaw multi-site global trials, and ensured adherence to regulatory standards and budgets.

Dr. Moore holds a BA in Mathematics from Spelman College, an MS in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics, both from the University of Washington in Seattle WA. She is also a member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).

In her spare time, Dr. Moore is active in her community, a regular volunteer in her local public schools, an avid reader, and an enthusiastic crafter of numerous varieties.
