Robin Whitsell, BA, BPh

Robin Whitsell is the founder and president of Whitsell Innovations (WI), Inc. She has 17 years of industry experience and is recognized for her ability to provide strategic writing solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, device, medical education, and medical communication companies.
Prior to founding WI, Ms. Whitsell was an assistant director of preclinical and clinical development at Inspire Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical start-up focused on ophthalmic and respiratory medications. She also worked at GlaxoWellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline) as a clinical research associate and team lead in the neurology and psychiatry clinical development group. Ms. Whitsell began her career at Parexel International CRO.
Ms. Whitsell has written many key documents for FDA and international regulatory authorities, attended and presented at meetings with the ophthalmic division of the FDA, and has been an invited speaker at national and international pharmaceutical and therapeutic area meetings.
Ms. Whitsell has degrees in biophysics and physics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and interned at Los Alamos National Laboratory. A 2011 winner of the Count Me In M3
pitch competition, Ms. Whitsell was selected for business acceleration leadership training. She serves on the board for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association RTP Chapter, is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA), the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), and the Diversity Alliance for Science (DA4S).
