Whitsell Innovations, Inc. presenting at Drug Information Association (DIA) 2017 Annual Meeting.

Robin Whitsell, Founder and President of Whitsell Innovations (WI), Inc., and Lisa Ambrosini Vadola, PhD, Medical Writer and Consultant, will be presenting at the Drug Information Association (DIA) 2017 Annual Meeting being held from June 18-22, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.

Ms. Whitsell will be participating as Session Chair at a workshop to be held on Tuesday, June 19, 9:40-10:25 AM, entitled “The Worst Coworker on the Block: Can YOU work with Difficult People? Yes, You can!”  This session, which was also the plenary session of the DIA Medical Affairs and Scientific Communications Forum, is an interactive workshop using humor to reflect on creating more effective teams.

Dr. Vadola will be the Presenter in a poster presentation to be held on Wednesday, June 21, 9:30-10:30 AM and 12:00-1:45 PM, entitled “#W11: Faster Approvals? Trends in the Use of FDA’s Expedited Approval Programs for Oncology Medications.” As part of WI’s ongoing scholarship on writing and regulatory strategy for expediting drug approvals, this poster will detail the trends associated with FDA approvals.

“These two educational opportunities highlight the diversity and value of the DIA annual meeting and an organization like WI,” says Ms. Whitsell. “The first workshop is focused on professional development. The poster session is meant to highlight an industry-specific educational need: understanding a specific way of engaging with the FDA. Though very different, both soft skills and industry know-how are critical for life science professionals. We are honored that the DIA chose WI to assist with identifying, creating, and presenting these topics.”

DIA is a global volunteer and member community representing thousands of life science professionals working together to bring innovative, safe and effective medical products to patients. An association of more than 30,000 key stakeholders, DIA, founded as the Drug Information Association, builds productive relationships by bringing together regulators, life sciences professionals, academics and researchers, patient advocates and other influencers to exchange knowledge and collaborate in a neutral setting.
