Chapel Hill, NC – August 22, 2023 Whitsell Innovations, Inc. Founder and President Nominated for Diversity Alliance for Science’s 2023 Linda Secola Volunteer of the Year Award
Robin Whitsell, Founder and President of Whitsell Innovations (WI), Inc., has been nominated for the Volunteer of the Year award by Diversity Alliance for Science (DA4S).
The Volunteer of the Year award is named in honor of Linda Secola who was a member and volunteer with DA4S. The award recognizes those who have made significant differences in the enrichment of the services and events that DA4S provides to its members. Ms. Whitsell previously won this award in 2019.
“The DA4S advocates for the growth and development of diverse suppliers because it recognizes the innovation that diverse suppliers bring to the life sciences. To accomplish this mission, DA4S relies on volunteer support.” says Ms. Whitsell. “I’m honored to be nominated alongside other volunteers who support this worthy cause.”
Ms. Whitsell has been an active member of DA4S since 2011. Exemplifying her volunteerism, Ms. Whitsell is a past Board Member, serves on the DA4S Membership Committee, and hosts the monthly virtual Members Lounge with Shirley Tang‑Audritsh of Eli Lilly.
The mission of DA4S is to provide a platform to identify, attract, and develop small and diverse businesses to drive inclusive procurement practices in corporate, academic, and governmental entities within the life science and healthcare industries.
