Associate Manager, Medical Writing

Hannah Dewald joined Whitsell Innovations (WI) in 2021 as a medical writer and consultant. In addition to managing a team of writers, she supports clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors with clinical, regulatory, and consumer-directed communications. Dr. Dewald’s areas of expertise are immunology and infectious disease, and she has experience in the therapeutic areas of neurology, dermatology, oncology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.

Dr. Dewald obtained her PhD in immunology and infectious disease from Rutgers University, where her research was funded by the NIH Institutional National Research Service Award and focused on the aging immune system. During this time, she also completed a fellowship within the Rutgers Office of Organizational Leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Michigan State University.
