Senior Manager, Medical Writing

Julie Hurt joined Whitsell Innovations (WI) in 2017 as a Medical Writer. Dr. Hurt currently manages a team of writers and supports regulatory writing for a variety of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, with a focus on regulatory submissions to global health authorities, clinical, and safety-related documents. Prior to joining WI, Dr. Hurt spent 4 years in the biotech industry supporting research and development activities through initial market access for biomaterial-based medical devices with topical and implantable indications. Dr. Hurt received a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology at the University of North Carolina.
