Operations Manager
Stephanie Cain, MBA, joined the Whitsell Innovations (WI) operations team in 2017 to streamline and automate the company’s internal processes and provide resource management support. Since 1998, Ms. Cain’s focus has been on leveraging and implementing technology to redesign processes and enhance management decision making. Ms. Cain began her career in project management and technology at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) before joining Progress Energy (now Duke Energy) where she led the team responsible for business intelligence and support of the enterprise financial systems. While at Progress Energy, she co-founded and was the Communications Chair for the Women’s Insight Network, the company’s first Employee Resource Group.
Prior to joining WI, Ms. Cain was a Director at Fidelity Investments where she focused on reporting and data analytics while introducing standards and methodologies to improve team processes and deliverables. In addition to serving as a mentor at Fidelity, she facilitated the Business Analysts Community of Practice and helped create the Human Resources Data and Analytics Club.
Ms. Cain earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she majored in finance and minored in political science. Ms. Cain’s personal volunteering has included serving on school PTAs and being a Girl Scout troop leader for 10 years. She currently serves as the Treasurer for A Lotta Love, a non-profit focused on alleviate the trauma of homelessness.
