FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Chapel Hill, NC – September 2020 – Whitsell Innovations, Inc. to attend and present at the 2020 American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) Medical Writing & Communication Conference.

Whitsell Innovations, (WI), Inc., is pleased to announce that our President, Robin Whitsell, and 11 of our writers will be presenting at the 2020 AMWA Medical Writing & Communication Conference, Trends and Opportunities for Medical Communicators, October 20-22, 2020.

This year’s conference will be the organization’s first virtual event, and promises to provide a warm and welcoming environment with an accessible, engaging, and valuable learning experience. This year, WI’s own Elise Eller, PhD, Medical Writer and Consultant, is the chair of the Annual Conference Program Committee. “This has been quite a journey,” says Dr. Eller. “We have had to pivot from our usual in-person conference to our first-ever virtual conference. While it’s disappointing that we won’t be able to see our friends and colleagues in person, a virtual conference offers opportunities for a greener, more accessible event. And we’ve made sure our virtual conference focuses on what we value most from our conferences: education and networking.”

AMWA President and WI Senior Writer and Manager, Ann Winter-Vann, PhD, is also enthusiastic about this year’s virtual event. “AMWA has put together an exceptional program for its first-ever virtual conference, with engaging plenary speakers, a broad range of educational sessions, and live roundtable and networking sessions that will allow attendees to engage directly with each other,” says Dr. Winter-Vann. “Although I will miss seeing so many friends and colleagues in person this year, I appreciate the fact that the virtual conference is accessible to those in the medical writing community who have not been able to travel to the conference in years past.”
